This couple was entirely too rad. Ailén texted me saying they wanted to do something a little more for their engagement session than just your average photography session in Banff or Canmore. When she mentioned a helicopter I was SO excited.
While these two met at a halloween party, I think my favourite story that I learned so far was about the proposal. It happened on the coldest of days in Calgary. Lauren was suppose to walk across Peace Bridge, and in Chip's mind her walk from work should take 5 minutes.
Lauren? Well she conveniently had a public account on social media. I typed in the location I was staying in and found a photo she had posted of a beach. I lurked, lurked some more. Found she had a Nick and decided to "slide in her Dm's".
The most badass, naturally pretty yoga teacher. So obviously I wrote them an email. Only to find out that Kris is even cooler in person, and is just the sweetest human. The two together is pure happiness mixed with a dose of goofy. I love it.
This is where Maple and I parted ways and I went to relax poolside for 6 days in Mooloolaba. While it may sound silly to spend 6 days in a new country not doing much… these six days were glorious.
Australia was everything I imagined it to be, and then some. From the beautiful Sun, sand and water all the way to the spiders much too big for my liking. It didn’t disappoint.
Wedding days never seem to go down without at least one minor issue. These are 4 things I see often with an easy fix to ensure you're prepared.
