Let me just start out by saying I’ve never cried more at a wedding day then I did that night. Thankfully I’ve mastered the art behind photographing while being barely able to see through tearful eyes.
I had no idea of Amy’s childhood, that she lost her father far to early in life. However this unfortunate fact and the way in which it was told and honored broke my heart all while making my heart burst with joy. Not only was her family holding space for his memory and for his presence spiritually but her father in law went out of his way to include her for a father/daughter dance. Things like this get me right in the feels.
East coast meets West and they live happily ever after right here in Alberta. I can't exactly spill all on how these two met, but let's just say the Mother of the Bride played a large role. A role involving plotting and scheming that has paid off into a happy promise of forever.
Amy and Sean had a gorgeous wedding in August 2016, and despite scattered thunderstorms we managed to get in a TON of images. The wedding was intimate and allowed me to learn so much more about the couple than I imagined. I had no idea of the Brides unfortunate loss of her father in her childhood. However in learning this heartbreaking news, my heart was soon filled with joy due to the way in which he was being honored by all the stories and gestures. Not only was her family holding space for his memory and for his presence spiritually but her father in law went out of his way to include her for a father/daughter dance. Things like this get me right in the feels.
Thank you Amy + Sean for including me in your wedding day celebrations. It was an absolute privilege to document your love story.
