Australia : Sydney and Cairns

One month late is better than never right? Join me as I recap my month trip to Australia in 2 blog posts + a million images of the scenery.

Australia was everything I imagined it to be, and then some. From the beautiful Sun, sand and water all the way to the spiders much too big for my liking. It didn’t disappoint.

What I didn’t imagine was how much I would miss Calgary, the cold, snowy place I call home. You know that place I always complained about? It’s the Jinx, the Jackson and the comfort of the house we’ve turned into a home that I couldn’t wait to get back to.

Sydney, Australia

Maple my long time best friend from the USA who is always up for an adventure flew in to meet me in Sydney where our adventure would begin. Instead of going into long winded paragraphs about all we did and all we saw, I’ve listed/linked the tours we did and share the images below.

Bridge Climb: Bridge Climb Full Length

Opera Tour: Walking Tour

Opera - The Merry Widow

Must Dine: Bennelong

Blue Mountain Tour: Blue Mountains Deluxe Tour

Bondi-Coogee Walk

Cairns

Next Stop was Cairns, because the Great Barrier Reef was high on our bucket list. I’ve never seen water so blue, so clear and crisp. Maple Scuba Dived, I snorkeled because I’m considered a hazard without doctors approval (narcolepsy problems). However in saying that, I TRULY believe snorkelling had so much value in it. It was amazing to be able to swim around on my own pace, stop to stare and see all the turtles, sting rays and Oh god the jelly fish!

Great Barrier Reef: Ocean Freedom
Karunda Rainforest: Skyrail Rainforest Cableway
